No matter where you are on the site, you have the best view you could wish for. The lights on the Storebælt Bridge in the evening and the sunset over the sea are truly spectacular. Life right by the coast offers endless opportunities for all kinds of water activities and sports.

Perhaps the beautiful, old wooden ship "Bien" will dock at the pier and take guests on a fishing trip.

If you haven't yet visited our lovely campsite, it's definitely worth a visit. And there are plenty of activities for the kids, including a lovely pool, playground, and brand new, beautiful jumping pillows.

We look forward to seeing you.

Best regards,

Dorthe & Ulrich

Hello!

20 years after Storebælt Camping opened, a new team of owners took over the site, which is now run by Dorthe and Ulrich Helledie.

A big project

The area covers 5,500,000 m² = 5.5 hectares, and the entire basin had a water depth of 10-12 meters. To fill the area, approximately 1,100,000 m³ of sand, clay, and topsoil were used, with 25 trucks working for 9 months.

The sand used came from the fill made by Storebælt A/S between the outer pier near the campsite and the reef point, where there was a very large factory producing tunnel segments.

The clay soil came from a hillside in Forlev (between Slagelse and Korsør), where KAVO has a landfill. The topsoil on the site came from TransportCenter STOP 39.
During the establishment of the area, the then mayor of Korsør mentioned that a campsite was to be built, and the municipality had made an agreement with DCU. A large project then began. Everything was designed from scratch – including the dimensions of pipes and technical installations. The site opened on April 5, 2003.

Dorthe and Ulrich took over Storebælt Camping on June 1, 2023, and they have already left their mark on the site, which is constantly being expanded and renovated. There are also many new and exciting initiatives planned.
