2025 was no exception, as 135 motorhomes and 255 members filled the campsite with Christmas cheer, Danish schlager music, and plenty of community spirit. Friday: Arrival, coffee and traditional roast beef
Friday afternoon marked the arrival of motorhomes at Storebælt Camping. DACF's helper team in yellow vests made sure everyone was safely guided to their pitch – an important detail for both new and experienced motorhome owners in West Zealand.
In the Event Hall at the campsite, participants were welcomed with coffee, cake and smiles from both old friends and new acquaintances. The mood was already high, and the joy of reunion was clear among the many members who attend the DACF Christmas meet every year.
In the evening, traditional roast beef from the butcher in Slagelse was served, and when the camp manager picked up his guitar, the evening became even more festive. His dry humour and musical performances had the whole hall singing along and smiling – a perfect start to the Christmas weekend for motorhome owners and other camping guests at Storebælt Camping.
Saturday: Flea market, Christmas dinner and schlager music
Saturday at Storebælt Camping in Korsør began with freshly baked bread and a flea market, where participants could find good bargains and swap stories from their motorhome trips across Denmark. Later, the Event Hall was transformed into a true Christmas wonderland with fir branches, lights and red tablecloths – an idyllic setting for winter camping in West Zealand.
The main attraction was the big Christmas dinner, catered by Storstrøms Camping, offering everything from classic herring and rich liver pâté to pork tenderloin and rice pudding. It was an experience where both the food and the atmosphere contributed to genuine Christmas spirit among motorhome owners and camping families.
After dinner, Klaus & Servants took the stage, and the schlager show delivered classics like "Bank tre gange" and "Den bedste pige". There was dancing, singing and laughter long into the evening – a perfect example of how community and music at a campsite can create unforgettable moments.
Sunday: Farewell and thank you
Sunday was all about fresh bread rolls from the Korsør bakery and cosy conversation, before motorhomes began rolling out towards home. Many took the opportunity to thank us for our dedication and warm hospitality. It meant a great deal to us. Several participants expressed hope that Storebælt Camping will continue to be the permanent home of the DACF Christmas meet in the future.
